Josh Armentrout is an aspiring information security specialist residing in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area. He has been in the IT field for over fifteen years and still going strong. Josh started in the trenches like most other technicians, the dreaded call center (supporting SBC DSL self-install customers), then moved up to support small to medium businesses (law firms, non-profits, commercial, and residential clients) in the Houston, TX and surrounding areas, finally he is currently working in an enterprise environment in Ft. Worth area for an oil and gas corporation.

Recently obtaining a degree in information security, Josh has been committed to gaining more knowledge about different technologies. He has received several industry certifications including but not limited to Cisco CCENT, CCNA, CCNA Security, CompTIA A+, Project+, Security+, Linux+, LPIC-1, and Microsoft MCITP Windows 7, and MCSA Windows 8 (Charter Member). Currently he is looking at obtaining GIAC certification and has his eyes on the CISSP certification.

When not studying or at work, Josh enjoys making projects come to life, reading what ever is at hand at the time, be it science fiction or even some political blog, and finally he is an avid fan of From Software games (you know, if you know).
